As Publisher at LUXE Magazine for nearly a decade, Mike developed close relationships with luxury design firms, design centers and interior designers in helping them grow their businesses.

Today, Mike helps to educate designers on their ability to improve the health of their clients. Working with Harvard, Johns Hopkins, the Mayo Clinic, the University of Pennsylvania, and more, are an integral part of Mike's effort to help designers realize their value proposition goes beyond aesthetics to include health at home. Neuroaesthetics, salutogenesis, fractal patterns, colors and elements of biophilia are important contributors to improved health, which is now documented by science. Through the Science in Design platform of webinars, newsletters and events, Mike has helped hundreds of designers become certified in Science in Design, creating a new, science-documented category of design professionals.

Mike is a regular keynote speaker and panel moderator at High Point furniture market; he’s the producer of the Designing Wellbeing symposium, and the When Design Heals event at High Point Market; he speaks regularly at the Dallas Market Center, The Las Vegas Surfaces Expo, the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, NYNOW, and at numerous IDS and ASID events around the country.
