Elizabeth Walther (Beth) is a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), a Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD), and has earned the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation. She currently serves on the Louisiana State Board of Interior Designers and remains actively involved in advancing professional standards and design excellence throughout the industry.

Prior to founding her own firm, Beth served as Head of the Interior Design Department for one of New Orleans' largest architectural firms. In 1994, she launched Design Studio, LLC, a full-service interior design firm based in Covington, Louisiana. Since its founding, the firm has completed more than 600 residential and commercial projects throughout the Gulf South. In 2024, Jolie Bruhl became Managing Partner, allowing Beth to focus on business development, mentoring the next generation of designers, and overseeing the firm's creative and financial success.

Throughout her career, Beth has specialized in complex renovations, custom residences, kitchens and baths, hospitality environments, country clubs, retail spaces, healthcare facilities, and commercial interiors. Her extensive project experience has given her a unique perspective on the realities of construction, project management, client relations, procurement, risk management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Beth's design philosophy is rooted in a simple belief: "Creating spaces that nurture, lift your spirits, and connect—the end result is Pure Joy." This philosophy guides every project undertaken by Design Studio and reflects the firm's commitment to thoughtful design, meaningful client relationships, and lasting results.

Her work has received numerous regional design awards across residential, commercial, and hospitality categories. Design Studio projects have been featured on the cover of New Orleans Homes Magazine and in New Orleans Biz Magazine, including recognition for the award-winning Money Hill Country Club renovation. The firm was also honored with the Best of St. Tammany Gold Award in both 2024 and 2025.

As a speaker, mentor, and business owner, Beth is passionate about sharing practical lessons learned from decades of real-world project experience. Her presentations combine technical expertise, leadership insights, and candid project stories that provide attendees with actionable strategies they can immediately apply to their own work.
