Owner / Principal DesignerMicheal Lambie Interiors Inc

Micheal Lambie is a designer and creative entrepreneur who creates sophisticated interior spaces blending art, lifestyle, and function. Founder of Micheal Lambie Interiors, he spent fifteen years in advertising as a Creative Director before shifting to interior design. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, his work approaches each project as a composition.

In traditional media, he spent four years as a design expert on CityLine and three seasons judging CBC’s Best in Miniature. Today, in addition to custom spaces and new build homes, he’s focused on video content—co-hosting and producing the YouTube Lifestyle series “Design Cook Eat” and is currently producing “The Loft: Designing a New Beginning”, a documentary series treating renovation as cinema.

What drives his work: design matters most when it changes how people live.

Is the era of the massive trophy kitchen finally running out of steam? Homeowners are questioning wasted square footage, oversized islands, and spaces designed more for social media than real life. In today’s market, smarter is starting to beat bigger.

This session explores the rise of the right-sized kitchen and spaces that pack serious performance, luxury, and personality into tighter, harder-working footprints. Panelists will break down how they’re using hidden functionality, integrated appliances, multifunctional zones, and strategic specification to create kitchens that feel elevated without excess.

The bigger conversation: has the industry been overdesigning kitchens for years? As budgets tighten and homes become more compact, this session examines why efficiency, intention, and usability may be replacing sheer size as the new status symbol in kitchen design.
