Eva Healy
Founder & Principal Designer, avenue design inc., ON
Combining natural creativity with a amethodical approach to project management, Eva leads projects from concept through completion, bringing to life spaces that are stunning, functional, and deeply personal.
Eva has been named one of House and Home Magazine’s Top 100 Canadian Interior Designers for three consecutive years. Her work has alos been featured in publications including House and Home, Style at Home, The National Post, and the Toronto Star.
Madeleine Sloback
Founder & Creative Director, Madeleine Design Group, BC
Beginning her career in finishing carpentry, Madeleine gained firsthand knowledge of the construction process before joining a commercial design/build firm, where she developed expertise in project coordination, technical drawings, and integrated design solutions.
For more than 13 years, Madeleine has led her own design firm, guided by the core values of teamwork, transparency, accountability, and design excellence. Central to her philosophy is the belief that every project should be a reflection of each client’s unique personality, preferences, and way of living. Through thoughtful collaboration and a deeply personalized approach, Madeleine and her team create distinctive, enduring spaces that feel authentic to the people who experience them.
Jonathan Legate
Founder & Principal Designer, Jonathan Legate Interior Consultation, NS
Based in Halifax and Chester Nova Scotia his work is published regularly both nationally and internationally. Jonathan is one of Canada’s top 100 Designers as noted by Canadian House and Home.
Driven not only by clients’ tastes and requirements, but by their personalities, Jonathan creates homes that express the essential natures of their owners. It is an organic process that thrives on strong, long-term client relationships in limited numbers.

A BCIT Interior Design graduate with distinction, Ashley has been recognized by the NKBA’s Thirty Under 30 program and has received multiple NKBA, HAVAN, and Georgie Awards. She was also named a finalist for Western Living’s Robert Ledingham Memorial Award for Emerging Interior Designer.
Her work has been featured in Style at Home, Vancouver Sun, VITA Magazine, North Shore News, and Global News. Ashley also serves as Programs Chair for the NKBA British Columbia Chapter.

What is the Designer Advisory Group?
The Designer Advisory Group is an inaugural cohort of six accomplished Canadian kitchen and bath designers selected to work directly with the show team to shape educational programming, on-floor experiences and industry conversations at Kitchen + Bath Canada. The group represents design professionals from British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
Members include Ashley de Boer, Sophie Donelson, Eva Healy, Jonathan Legate, Madeleine Sloback and Alykhan Velji. Together, they bring a cross-country perspective to the show’s content strategy, ensuring that programming reflects how Canadian design professionals actually work, source and specify.
Who are the members of the Designer Advisory Group?
The six members of the Designer Advisory Group are Ashley de Boer, Sophie Donelson, Eva Healy, Jonathan Legate, Madeleine Sloback and Alykhan Velji. They represent a geographically diverse range of design voices from across Canada, spanning British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
Each member was selected for their expertise, regional perspective and active presence within Canada’s kitchen and bath design community. Together, they bring a breadth of experience that reflects the diversity of Canadian residential design practice.

Rather than designing programming from the outside in, we embedded six of Canada’s leading designers directly into the show’s development process to reflect how the industry actually operates.
For attendees, this means content that mirrors real-world design challenges, sourcing realities and client expectations. For exhibitors, it means a show floor shaped by designers who are actively specifying products, creating a more purposeful environment for brand discovery and meaningful conversation.
Will the Designer Advisory Group continue after the 2026 show?
Yes. The Designer Advisory Group is designed to become an annual initiative, with the 2026 cohort serving as the inaugural group. Each year, Kitchen + Bath Canada will assemble a new cohort of Canadian design voices to contribute to the show’s programming and community engagement efforts.
